Saturday, 31 January 2015 0 Notes Natural hair journey update

This post will be an update on my healthy hair journey and also on my new hair care treatment.
In an earlier post I told you all about my big chop in May of 2014, and am happy to say there has been progress in the growth of my hair so far.

For some couple of years, I have battled with dandruff. I dont know I got it or how it became so bad, but every time I tried to get a lasting solution I never really follow through. So I did a little research on google and found out about Lestrine! Yes Lestrine the mouth wash! A couple of reviewers agree that its an effective fungal disinfectant (it is recommended to get the Lestrine original which is yellow in color), and works well as an anti dandruff treatment. All you have to do is wash your hair normally with shampoo and then apply the lestrine all over your scalp wear a shower cap and leave in for 5-10 minutes, rinse out the Lestrine, then condition and dry your hair.
While doing this please try as much as possible to keep your eyes close! You really dont want the Lestrine getting into your eyes.
I plan to do this atleast twice before wearing my hair in yet another protective style. Ill keep this blog updated on how well this treatment goes. I also purchased another brand of shampoo and conditioner.

Tuesday, 27 January 2015 0 Notes BLUES AND NUDES

Hey everyone!

So am trying out colors on my palette that I never ever touch! The blue I used in this look is a lot light than the blue I used in my last post. I added a little bit of a yellow shade to my lower lid to 'pop' the blue on the lid. I had to resist the temptation to use a white liner on my water liner which is fast becoming a "thing" for me. Products used are listed below.

I tried out this icy blue color from my "take me to brasil" palette and tried on a coral/nude tint on my lips and I am loving how it turned out. My eyebrows in this look are darker than usual because I was trying out a new brow pencil, please ignore them. Products I used will be listed below as usual. Friday, 9 January 2015 2 Notes NEW YORK COLORS HAUL AND REVIEW

Hey Ladies!

Happy New Year to everyone. I know its been a while since I last put up a post, I have been a little busy trying to put my life in order this New Year, I hope everyone had an amazing holiday!
I realized a while back that I did not own any form of loose eye shadow, so I decided to hunt a few of those babies down! On Konga I came across a few by New York Colors which I purchased, I placed the order on Christmas day and they got delivered to me on the 5th of January. I also decided to try out one of their lip liners too (even though I haven't actually tried it on yet), since am forever on the hunt for anything makeup.

NYC Smokey topaz eye dust.

NYC Golden champagne eye dust

NYC Aquamarine sparkle eye dust

NYC bare brown lip liner

Top - bottom, golden champagne, smokey topaz and 8aquamarine sparkle

NYC golden champagne applied on her eyelids

These eye shadow dusts are really pigmented and apply evenly, there is a lot of fall out from the eye shadow, but its nothing too out of control. I tried out a bit of the golden champagne when I did this look on Tosin and it came out really well. I see myself buying more of these babies!

Prices

NYC bare brown lipliner - N500
NYC golden champagne - N500
NYC aquamarine sparkle - N500
NYC smokey topaz - N700
